Thank you for your enquiry on behalf of the H.O.M.E. Residents Association regarding the outcome of the 2024 road consultation. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding while this matter was reviewed by the Design & Commissioning Team.
Earlier this year, the Council carried out an informal consultation on the possible introduction of priority working arrangements in the area. Officers are currently preparing a detailed consultation outcome report, which will review all feedback and representations received and provide a recommendation on the appropriate next steps.
I appreciate the concerns raised by residents regarding the lack of an update, particularly in light of the recent serious road traffic incident around the Havelock Road junction. Naturally, incidents of this nature reinforce the importance of carefully reviewing the evidence and consultation responses before any decision is reached.
At present, officers are working through the consultation results and finalising the report. It is currently expected that the consultation outcome report will be published over the summer.
Once published, this will provide a formal update on the consultation findings and set out the recommended next steps for the area.
I trust the above addresses your enquiry. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Design & Commissioning Team via highways-traffic@croydon.gov.uk.
Yours sincerely,
Tabrez Hussain
