Meeting with Council Officers, Councillors and RA

Meeting to discuss possible way forward. Raw traffic data spreadsheets are available on request from HOME Committee. Please come to our AGM on 7th September to discuss as change might be afoot that we are not supporting.

4th February at 8:30 pm, Ismaili Centre (opposite Sandilands Tram Stop)

H.O.M.E Meeting to discuss options for trying to fix the traffic chaos.

This meeting is scheduled for residents of the H.O.M.E RA to discuss views on how to fix the traffic chaos resulting from the changes to traffic flow in Lebanon, Addiscombe Court and Canning Roads.

Please email us if you think you can attend the meeting, and state your name, address and ideas you have so we can add them to the list to discuss.

We are very grateful to the Ismaili Centre for letting us use their facilities for this important local meeting

Community Meeting on Traffic

Event Details

Meeting with residents of Addiscombe (East and West) to look at how to resolve the problems of traffic displacement to Addiscombe East following the changes to permitted travel along Addiscombe Road Road and Canning Road

 

Well over 120 residents attended this meeting. On the whole it was a well-tempered meeting with few raising their voices.

Residents Associations Catch-Up on Planning Rules

Event Details

This was a meeting called by the Croydon Council Planning Body to discuss how Planning Matters have changed and how Council Officers want to keep RAs better informed with Planning Applications.

CBNWA Conference and AGM

Event Details

Attended by Melanie.  Held at Royal Russell School.  Event for all Croydon Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators.  Neighbourhood Watch is now essentially self funded.  Anyone wishing to advertise in the Croydon Eye (delivered to 20,000 homes in Croydon) should contact nhw@cbnwa.com.

Addiscombe East Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel

Attended by Melanie. This panel meets quarterly to discuss the concerns facing the local community around crime and anti-social behaviour, and sets the priorities the local police team will tackle. They also get involved in working with the police team and local partner agencies such as the council to find lasting solutions to these priorities.

This was the first meeting of the Addiscombe East SNT Ward Panel. The meeting was more informal than usual and the intention was for us to get to know the SNT team and to meet our councillors who were both there. Our SNT team has been severly under resourced over the past few month, but this issue is expected to be resolved in October 2018. The new contact details for the team will be shared and distrbuted in due course.

This was the last meeting of the Ashburton SNT Ward Panel before it becomes the Addiscombe East SNT Ward Panel. The entire HOME area will be within the Addiscombe East Ward. I attended this meeting as a guest so that I could see how this panel operates and how they are preparing for the transition. I will be attending the next meeting in July 2018

This was the last meeting of the Addiscombe Ward Panel as the ward splits into Addiscombe West and Addiscombe East. HOME is in Addiscombe East and I am attempting to communicate with the existing Ashburton Ward Panel which will become the Addiscombe East Ward Panel
